Booking Process

Our booking process is simple:

    1. Complete our online application form.
    2. Our residence team will email you within the following 24 hours.
    3. Sign your lease.
    4. Make your first month’s payment.
    5. Move in and join the GEC community!

We are here to help! Let us know what school you will be attending and any preferences you may have, and we will do the rest.

Our prices vary depending on the residence, accommodation type, and the length of your lease. If you’re curious, please don’t hesitate to contact us and we will be more than happy to provide you with a quote.

Any person who is over 18 and is enrolled with an educational institution can live at any of our GEC residences. All locations require a minimum occupancy of 5 weeks, with the exception of GEC Granville. Private apartments and suites are eligible to the general public.

While GEC is Vancouver’s leading student residence, we offer our private apartments to the general public. People who are not students are more than welcome to rent a private apartment or suite at any of our locations.

Residents who wish to stay for less than 5 weeks are encouraged to book a suite at GEC Granville. We offer nightly and weekly rates, so it’s perfect for visiting friends and families.

Absolutely! We have many residents that stay for their entire academic career. Our extension process is simple, so let us know as soon as you’re ready to ensure we have availability.

Yes! All our apartments are move-in ready, so we include utilities, furnishing, and tons of other amenities. Utilities are inclusive, subject to normal/reasonable consumption.

To be mindful of everyone’s allergies and preferences, we do not allow pets in shared apartments. At the moment, pets are only allowed in select private apartments. Please contact us if you have a furry (or scaly) friend that you may want to bring along.

For privacy reasons, we are not able to provide you with the specific details of your roommates or housemates. However, we do our best to match you with housemates who may be attending the same school as you or have a similar lease duration.

Very safe! We have 24-hour on-site reception/security and our doors and elevators are secured by electronic access controls. Each apartment requires a key or entry card, and individual bedrooms can be locked.

We have an easy online submission form for any maintenance issues. Once you submit a request, our team will respond to you as soon as possible.

Every week, our housekeeping team will provide a 30-minute clean of your apartment’s common area, including the kitchen and bathroom. This is to ensure your apartment is kept in the very best condition and to minimize damage. To respect your privacy, they will not clean your bedroom, tidy your belongings, or wash your dishes. They are also not responsible for throwing away your garbage, so please dispose of all garbage properly.

Every apartment is equip with a washer and dryer, so you won’t have to worry about coins or laundry cards anymore.

Any deliveries or parcels will be received by our reception office, caretaker, or security. We will email you to pick up your package.
