Mail & package Deliveries

How to write your mailing address

Mail deliveries

  • Your residence advisor will email you to pick it up once it’s arrived

Food and grocery deliveries

  • Food and grocery deliveries: provide your phone number to the driver, meet the driver, or pick up at the lobby

Package deliveries

  • Please collect your deliveries from the mailbox or the blue box (For Canadian Phone Number) in the lobby

During your time at school, and especially when you just arrived a totally different country than your home, there may be moments when you need someone to talk to, and when you feel like talking is too hard.

PRE-ARRIVAL PREPARING LIST
  • All GEC units are furnished with essential furniture and appliance. However, you will need to bring followings:
    • Personal grooming
    • Personal hygiene kit (shampoo, towel, tooth brush, detergent and etc.)
    • Extra beddings
    • Adaptor for Canada

General Rules:

  • Quiet Hours: 11 pm to 9 am; no parties or guests allowed.
  • All GEC residences are non-smoking.
  • Housekeeping responsibilities are listed for common areas; personal bedrooms are the tenant’s responsibility.
  • Garbage schedule and responsibilities outlined below; penalties for non-compliance.
  • Recycling guidelines are in effect; unwashed dishes incur penalties. Remind your roommate of house rules, and report violations to pearson@GECLiving.com with details and pictures if there is no improvement.
  • No personal items in shared areas; use storage spaces provided.

 

Garbage Disposal Schedule Instructions:

  • Fill in dates for the next 7 days in the ‘Dates’ column.
  • Assign resident names to ‘Mon/Wed/Fri’ for each unit.
  • Ensure the assigned roommate takes containers to P1 as scheduled.
  • Add new roommates to the schedule.
  • Exclude checked-out roommates.
  • Full bins or containers placed beside them may incur an extra housekeeping fee.
  • Timely updates to the schedule are required.

 

Laundry Rules:

  • Do not overloading washer and dryer machines; clean the dryer’s lint screen after each use.
  • Remove clothes promptly after each cycle.
  • Use a net bag for small items and empty pockets before washing

 

Kindly provide your estimated arrival time and verify with your leasing or residence advisor whether you will be conducting a self-check-in or requiring assistance from our staff.

Check-in Inspection:

  • Complete online inspection form received from your residence advisor within 3 days upon check-in.
  • Why is a check-in inspection crucial for you? It safeguards your rights by documenting damages and preventing charges upon check-out.
  • Access: The Fob provides access to your unit, garbage room on P1, and all amenities spaces.
  • Check-out time is 11 a.m.
  • Check-out inspection is required to be completed before check-out.
  • You will be receiving an email about the inspection from us a few days before your check-out date
  • Pre-checkout task:
    • Ensure cleanliness in all areas; fines for items left for housekeeping
    • Dispose of garbage in P1; place the towel in the basket.
    • Return keys to the drop-off box; keys without tags are not acceptable.
    • Deposit Refund: Expect within 15 days after check-out.
